Let’s Get Personal…
From fine art to photography, I have had many different styles and interests in the art world. When I get to combine those styles, I feel very lucky. For me, it is not about marketability. I am not creating with dollar signs in mind. I am creating in order to express ideas or simply for my own enjoyment.
Witch
I had been doing a lot of research recently into the witch hunts, particularly in Salem. While the stories were quite disturbing, what I found interesting was that the underlying issue was less about the “dark and sinister” actions of the individual but rather it was about misunderstanding, jealousy and revenge. In this series, I wanted to introduce you to some of the modern day “witches” that I know in order to summon up dialogue on what it really means to be a witch.
Eyes Wide Open
The changes in politics all over the world for the past several years have brought to light some real issues in our society. The issues have always been there, we just haven’t noticed or, if we have, there has been a lack of understanding. In this series, I bring awareness to some of the social issues we are facing today with beautiful, non confronting imagery showcasing not only the vulnerable nature of these issues, but the human behind them.
